We moved out of the house August 2010. The neighbors say it is still active. When we started packing for the move there was a big increase in activity. Shane, one of my team members of SLGHS did an investigation with me the last Saturday night we had possession of the house. That night reconfirmed his views on the paranormal.

We have all watched scary movies and paranormal shows on tv so we know there are things you dont do in your own house.Never use a ouija or ghost board.Never hold a seance.Never do EVP's aka Electronic Voice Phenomenon in your own house. You have no real way of knowing what the effect will be. Do not worship the Devil.
I used to think having a haunted house would be kind of cool,man was I wrong.
In February of 2008 my daughter and I started noticing little things like the bumps in the night. I had to debunk as much as I could.There was just too much that I couldn't explain.I started the EVP thing and made things more active.We had tapping on windows,voices next to us,whispering that you could never make out,cold spots hot spots,bed shaking,things touching us,strange smells,shadows moving,and my daughter had seen full body apparitions more than a few times.
A real haunting is something that goes on 24/7.What ever we were dealing with didn't care if it was midnight or mid afternoon.
We got in touch with some people that dealt with this kind of thing and they called in some help from another paranormal group.
They did an evening of investigation with nothing captured on video and a little something on audio,but still there was alot of activity that night.It seems like activities accelerated at that point.
We had about 3 weeks of scary stuff going on and then we took a stand and took our house back.That was just after Thanksgiving 2008.
Things slowed down but they still let you know they are here.They do get your attention when they want to.
One day I was playing video game in my back room and I heard my daughter say daddy, dad, daddy! Each time louder than the last. I got up to see what she wanted but she was still sound asleep, like she had been for the past several hours. They do play little tricks.Lots of them.
I am now involved with a great local paranormal group called the St.Louis Ghost Hunters Society.

I will be placing as many links as I can to them on this site.I will also place photos and EVP's as well as let you know how things go in the field.Their are a number of tools as well that I will try and go over and explain how they work.I have only had first hand experience with a few so far.
This is a picture I took in my daughters room.I tried to re-create the mist time after time.I tried smoking a bunch of cigarettes,different lights... all kinds of stuff.
Some people are into Demons and Demonic Possession,Angles,Witches, Faries, others like UFOs,Crypto Zoology,Aliens,Bigfoot,Loch Ness Monster,Vampires,Werewolves and tons of other stuff.I'm really into the Ghosts.Not so much trying to prove to others that they are real, but put what I can out there so others can see for themselves.
Orb's,what can I say,some people think that every speck of dust that they photograph is an orb.I do not.So far I have only taken a few photos with orbs or dust in them.My brother has taken some as well. Ectoplasm or plasmic mist can also be tricky.Usually Mist is not seen until you look at your photo,but not always.Some people have seen it form in front of them.Black Mass or Shadow People are believed to be evil.I don't think so.
My daughter and I have both witnessed shadows in our house.Scary at first but they didn't hurt us.
Portals or Vortex are believed to be something Spirits and Demons can travel through at will.I'm not sure about that but I am pretty sure you can attract Spirits by holding EVP sessions in the same place over and over.Haunted Objects are another possibility.Usually a person is so attached to an object in life they wont or cant let it go.
Phantom voices or Disembodied voices are the ones you hear but cant find where they are coming from.For me that seems to happen right next to my ear.I read an article about the whispering you hear that you cant make out is a sign of demonic presence.My daughter and I have that experience often.
Apparitions:Full bodied apparitions are what every person in the field wants to get on film or picture.Some have seen some.There are some great photos out there.As well as some great videos.My daughter has seen a little girl in her room more than once when we first moved in.She also had seen her brothers twice in 2008.When I was in sixth grade I lived in an old farm house a few miles outside of a town in the Missouri Ozarks called West Plains.I woke up to an old man standing at the foot of my bed.He was holding a double barrel shot gun that he pointed right at my face.All I do was throw my pillow at him and hide under the covers.I only saw him once but Its a very vivid memory.My wife had her first in our house.She was sleeping and awoke to a dark hooded figure straddling her and pressing down on her chest.Sleep paralysis or waking dream? Don't say that to her.

The reality of it all is unless you are having it happen or have had it happen to you,you really do not fully understand.A haunting can be a very mind bending and exhausting thing to have happen.You don't want to tell anyone because they might think you are crazy.Share it with me.
